The management of King David University, Uburu, Ebonyi state had in a public notice signed by the school Ag. Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Jesse Uneke, indicated that Medical and Surgery students will pay N3million for the 2021/2022 academic session.
The public notice indicated all the fees the students are supposed to pay for the 2021/2022 academic session.

It read: “School FEES OF KING DAVID UNIVERSITY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES UBURU FOR
2021/2022 ACADEMIC SESSION (INCLUDING HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION WITHIN
THE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS FOR ALL STUDENTS)”.

It is worthy of mention that the university was named after the incumbent Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. Dave Umahi.
Put simply, the name of the University is “David Umahi University of Medical
Sciences, Uburu, Ohaozara LGA of Ebonyi State Nigeria.”
It is largely believed that the University was named after the incumbent
Governor of Ebonyi State by the State House of Assembly, in recognition of the Governor’s infrastructural development of the State and for exemplary leadership.
