A Nigerian-born politician, Celia Hibbert, has been elected leader of the UK opposition party, Reform UK, on Wolverhampton City Council in England.
Hibbert, a British-Nigerian councillor, was unanimously chosen to lead the party’s local government caucus following Reform UK’s growing influence in the area. Her emergence marks another milestone for Nigerians making political strides in the United Kingdom.
