Stop telling stories of traditions, customs; preach the true gospel – Pastor Kumuyi tells fellow ministers
In one of his sub- headings, he talked about ‘The message of Christ for the whole City’ and he read the book of Act 8: 5 which says, “Then Philip went down to Samaria and preached Christ unto them.” He spent his time preaching Christ and not traditions or stories. He was serious with the gospel (which is the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ) and many people believed in him and accepted the gospel.
“Unfortunately today, most ministers of God spend time telling stories of their lives when they are supposed to be preaching the gospel. They tell stories of traditions and customs instead of giving them the pure gospel. Those stories are not bad but they cannot save souls and you have to prioritize saving souls. Those stories are just meant to motivate believers and teach them certain lessons about your life.”
However, the man of God advised ministers against telling stories of customs and traditions instead of preaching the true gospel.
