Rep Ogah distributes 12 trailer loads of rice, N200m to constituents for Christmas

The Representative of Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency of Ebonyi State, Comrade Chinedu Ogah has distributed 12 Trailer loads of bags of rice to his constituents for Christmas.

 

He also complimented it with various amounts of cash gifts amounting to over N200 million.

 

Distributing the gifts on Friday, December 26, during a lavish Christmas Party organised for the people in his Amagu Ikwo home in Ebonyi State, the federal law maker explained that the event was part of the annual charity outreach of his humanitarian Organisation, Chinedu Ogah Foundation.

 

Ogah noted that through his 26 years old Foundation, he has been able to build many houses for widows and indigents across his constituency, secured federal job appointments for over 1,526 constituents, trained and equipped many youths on various skills towards self reliance and economic independence.

 

He said: “Today, my foundation, Chinedu Ogah Foundation has brought out a cash sum of N200m and 12 Trailer loads of rice which we have distributed to the people.

 

This is 26 years of this foundation’s existence, and you can investigate how many houses we have built for widows and other vulnerable groups in this constituency.

 

These are the people that elected us.

 

Today’s event is beyond politics, it is making impact and caring for the people.

 

My focus area in politics is what the people want and the support of my constituents are my motivation.”

 

The Representative acknowledged the numerous impacts of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in the Southeast, stressing that it touches all sectors of governance.

 

He maintained that the numerous quality outcomes of Governor Nwifuru’s administration in Ebonyi state, including the foreign scholarship schemes, various forms of economic empowerment, quality infrastructure, peaceful and secured environment are all reflections of the impact of the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

 

The Representative vowed to continue to pursue goals which would make his constituents continue to feel the positive impact of governance and quality representation.

 

Some constituents who spoke to newsmen said the representative has continued to demonstrate capacity in all areas of representation, adding that his foundation has become a household name across the constituency in terms of charity, philanthropy and humanitarian activities.

 

One of the respondents, Victor Nwekoyo, who was visibly elated by the gesture said that Ogah, by the quantum of the gifts he has distributed through his foundation has surpassed his contemporaries in the state.

 

He observed that no home within the constituency was left out in the gifts distribution, stressing that Ogah has been consistent in addressing the needs of the people of the area.
