Reactions as Nigerians tackle Police over detention of LP supporter Chude while MC Oluomo walks freely
The unlawful arrest and detention of a Labour Party supporter known as Chude has generated massive reactions from people around the country as it was seen as an injustice on his part.
The Nigeria Police arrested one Chude who was known on social media to be a supporter of Labour Party as he was detained on the basis of alleged cyberstalking while they continue to carry out their investigation.
This has been going on for days and has made concerned Nigerians to tackle the Police Force over this action while APC Presidential Candidate and President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s loyalist, Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo still walks freely around after threatening the Igbo people in Lagos.
Recall that the Lagos State Park Management Chairman, MC Oluomo’s video went viral ahead of the Gubernatorial and States’ House Of Assembly elections in Lagos State, where he categorically made it known that the Igbo people should not bother to come to the polling unit on the election day if they will be voting against the ruling party in the State.
Despite denying this statement by explaining it in another dimension, the deed is done already considering the fact that the last March 18 election in the State was characterized by infractions and ethnic tensions where several non-yorubas were intimidated and assaulted and in the long run disenfranchised.
There were many reports of damage and harm caused to the Igbo people across the State by alleged APC thugs which as such prompted many of the stakeholders to call for the arrest of MC Oluomo in that regard.
However, the Police Force after the outcry of many concerned citizens noted that they are on the matter with investigation going on while some in the Force indicated that his words should be taken as a joke, hence it should not be treated as a serious matter as presumed by many.
Going by the two scenarios, Nigerians have then started to tackle the Police for their partiality having arrested someone who is only making his views and opinions known online, while leaving behind someone who has threatened a whole tribe in the country.
