The death has been announced of Mrs. Alice Imazehiaghan Aghahowa . Late Ma Aghaghowa, popularly known as Iye was the mother of Mr Peter Aghaghowa, Head of Public Affairs, National Pension Commission (PenCom).
The late matriarch of the Aghaghowa family was born on the 7th of July, 1932 at Urhokuosa Village Ward 5 of Uhunmwode Local Government Area in Edo State.
According to the statement by the family, late Ma Aghaghowa died on the 6th of March 2021 at the age of 89 years.
The statement further stated that she was born into the family of Pa and Mama Airenbuwa Igiehon.
According to Benin native laws and customs, in July 1949 she was married to Chief Garrick Aihanuwa Aghahowa, the Aiwerioba of Benin Kingdom, who passed on in November 2019.
Though she had six children, late Ma Aghaghowa is survived by four children, 12 grand children and 14 great grand children.
