Opposition’s criticisms of Makinde Govt diversionary – RTEAN chairman

The Chairman, Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Oyo State Chapter, Comrade Kamorudeen ldowu (Owogesi), has declared that the incessant criticisms of Governor Seyi Makinde PDP – led administration in the state by opposition political parties are diversionary.
He opined that from all available records, the current administration in the state has scored high marks in the area of development and improved security.
Comrade ldowu expressed this view at the swearing – in ceremony of Chaple Chairmen in lbarapa Zone, which comprises of Ayete, Eruwa, Igboora, ldere and Maya in Igboora, Oyo State.
He described the occasion as a landmark one because it was the first time in the history of RTEAN in the state that Chapel Chairmen would be democratically elected without any government intervention.
He stated that Governor Makinde is a listening Governor whose topmost priority is the welfare and security of the people.
“Never mind the propaganda of the opposition , Governor Seyi Makinde is absolutely committed to provision of adequate security and rapid development of Oyo State.
“The criticisms by the opposition are mainly diversionary .l urge the Governor to continue his good work.”
Also at the occasion , the State Chairman , Trade Union Congress, TUC, Comrade Emmanuel Olusola Ogundiran, said that the RTEAN is not peopled by trouble shooters judging from the manner in which the Chapel Chairmen democratically emerged.
He advised the Chairmen to see their position as a call to service than the pursuit of self – serving agenda , adding that , he is with the Union “all the way.”
