Ogalegu commends party unity in Ebonyi, urges strong push for 2027

Chief Tochukwu Ogalegu, a renowned philanthropist and APC stalwart, has hailed the party’s recent congress in Ebonyi State, citing it as a demonstration of its commitment to internal democracy and organizational growth.
The congress saw Stanley Okoro Emegha re-elected as chairman for a second term, alongside other executives.
In a statement, Ogalegu praised the party stakeholders and delegates for the peaceful and transparent process, acknowledging Governor Francis Nwifuru’s leadership role in strengthening party unity and governance.
He said: “The congress showcases a party that values discipline, consensus-building, and institutional continuity”.
He urged the newly elected executives to approach their mandate with responsibility and loyalty to the party’s ideals.
Looking ahead to 2027, Ogalegu stressed the need for the party to prioritize credible, competent, and inclusive candidates.
“The party must project leaders with integrity, capacity, and people-centered vision,” he advised.
He further emphasized that “politics must be a vehicle for social justice, economic empowerment, and institutional reform.”
Ogalegu called for more philanthropists, technocrats, and youth-driven reformers to take up leadership roles, reaffirming his commitment to humanitarianism and public service through the Zelunjo Empowerment Foundation.
“Leadership is about service: it’s not just about authority, but impact – uplifting lives, strengthening institutions, and advancing collective prosperity,” Ogalegu stated.
He urged party members to mobilize, strengthen cohesion, and prepare for the elections, expressing confidence in the APC’s victory in Ebonyi and beyond.
