Former presidential candidate and Labour Party leader, Peter Obi, has paid a heartfelt tribute to Alhaji Aminu Dantata, the revered patriarch of the Dantata business empire, who passed away at the age of 94.
In a statement released on Friday, Obi described Dantata as a “revered patriarch and statesman” whose legacy transcended generations, industries, and communities. He praised the late business mogul for his humility, compassion, and simplicity, despite his vast wealth.

Obi prayed that God grants Dantata eternal rest and that his family and loved ones find the strength to bear the loss. He also prayed that Dantata’s legacy of selflessness, enterprise, and humility continues to inspire Nigeria for generations to come.
“May his soul rest in perfect peace,” Obi concluded.
