Nekede mourns loss of philanthropist and business mogul, Chief Chris Anonobi, in tragic USA passing

In a somber turn of events, the tight-knit community of Nekede in Owerri West is plunged into grief as they mourn the untimely demise of Chief Sir Chris Anonobi, a distinguished son of the region. Chief Anonobi, a revered figure in both business and philanthropy, passed away in the USA in October 2023.

 

Club USA Reloaded, an organization representing the Nigerian diaspora, is deeply saddened by the loss of Chief Anonobi. The Club, led by its coordinators, Amb Royal Prince Sabastine Eke, CEO of RONIF OIL, Val TCK Amadi (African Entertainment Award winner in the USA), Hon Kems Obichere, and Engr Oguchi Oha, express their condolences to the family and the entire community of Nekede.

 

Chief Sir Chris Anonobi, an alumnus of Emmanuel College, carved a remarkable path in the business world. As the owner of Ede Hotels Ltd, a dredging company in Lagos, and a notable property mogul with investments in apartment buildings, his legacy extended far beyond his hometown.

 

Known for his philanthropic endeavors, Chief Anonobi championed causes for the neglected and cheated. Before relocating to the USA, he played a pivotal role in local sports and charity works, leaving an indelible mark on the community.

 

His passing has prompted an outpouring of support, with the Club team players of Reloaded going above and beyond to express their love for him and his family. Nekede collectively mourns the loss of an easy-going uncle and a passionate advocate for progress.

 

As the Reloaded coordinators sign off, the entire community joins together to bid farewell to Chief Sir Chris Anonobi, praying for the repose of his soul.
