The Blakey Ijezie Foundation is hosting the 3rd edition of BLAKEY’s National Economic Conference, a solutions-driven forum tackling Nigeria’s cost-of-living crisis. The conference will bring together experts in finance, economics, public policy, psychology, and civil society to offer practical solutions.

 

The conference will take place on Friday, June 13, 2025, at the Banquet Hall Banex Mall, Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria. Chief Blakey Okwudili Ijezie, FCA, the convener will deliver a keynote address titled ‘Navigating the Cost-of-Living Crisis in Nigeria via S.M.A.R.T. Investing.’

 

Other notable speakers include Mrs. Gloria C. Okwuosa, a psychologist and counselor; Mr. Patrick Ossai, a labor policy expert; Mr. Charles Fakrogha, a stockbroker, broadcaster, and trainer; and Mr. Ken Ihedioha, a consummate sales leader.

 

The conference will examine the realities of Nigeria’s cost-of-living crisis, map multidimensional poverty, and explore remediation options. It will also analyze the intersection of rising wages, inflation, and public welfare, as well as explore the mental health dimensions of financial stress. Participants will receive S.M.A.R.T. Investing recommendations to help them adapt and thrive.
