Matriarch of Ogbamgba family and mother of Century Post Publisher passes on
The death has been announced of Madam Comfort Onyekaozuru Ogbamgba who passed on to eternal glory at 82 years. Madam Comfort, the matriarch of the Ogbamgba family, hails from Umuokogbuo, Eluama, Isu-amawu, Isuikwuato, Abia State.
Before her death on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, Madam Comfort Ogbamgba was a key leader of the Methodist Church where she served in the vineyard of the Lord for several years as a Children Church Teacher, Women Leader and Lay Preacher through which she impacted and moulded many lives and raised generations of children who have grown to become adults and parents.
She also impacted and moulded the lives of her children with her husband, Mazi Gilbert Umezurike Ogbamgba who died in 1993. She died in Jos, Plateau state where she lived for more than six decades.
Madam Comfort Ogbamgba was a thorough disciplinarian, counsellor, woman leader and Christian mother-in-Israel.
She is survived by grown sons and daughters and many grandchildren who have made remarkable impacts in their different areas of endeavor. They include, amongst others Mrs. Obiageli Emenike who retired from the Office of the Accountant General of Federation; Pastor Chidiebere Ogbamgba, the former Chaplain, Government House Chapel, Jos, Plateau State; and Mr. Kelechi C. Ogbamgba, Publisher /Editor-in-Chief of Century Post.
Burial arrangements will be announced shortly by the family. She will be solely missed by many generations of young people who have grown to become adults, parents and moral influencers in the society.
