Kogi Guber: Ebira peoples ‘mother of all rallies’ slated for Sunday in Lagos
In readiness for the up-coming governorship election in Kogi State, Ebira people living in Lagos are set for the ‘mother of all rallies’ scheduled for Agbala, Ikorodu, Lagos this Sunday to mobilize their people and others in the overall interest of the State.
The rally, according to Abdulyekini Ovavi Ibrahim who is an aspirant for Okene Local Government Chairmanship position under the platform of All progressive Party (APC), is to “honor and support our brother and son, Ododo Usman who is gunning to become the next Governor of Kogi State in the forthcoming election.
He also explained that the get-together aims to bring all Ebira people together in Lagos and make them understand why they should support Usman for Kogi State governorship position.
He disclosed that men and women of timbre and caliber are expected to grace the event from Kogi and Lagos states, adding that “we equally have the support of our king and his cabinet, Allhaji Khuyinde Yakubu and Ebira Chairman In Ikorodu, Abubakar AbdulRahaman.
Ibrahim declared that nothing would be left undone to see that Ebira people were effectively mobilized for the election in Kogi State,saying that logistics are being set in motion to ensure that they are not left out of the democratic developments in the state.
He stated that he too is “contesting for Okene Local Government Chairman position to elevate youths and to prove to Governor Yahaya Bello that what he has inculcated in youths would be consummated.”
According to him, Gov. Bello is a good leader and “I’m going to follow his foot steps. In our manifesto, I’m going to look in to the problems in Okene in terms of road network, water, light, and the schooling of our children.”
