International Labour Day: Globacom applauds Nigerian workers

Recognition OF Nigerian workers’ contributions to national development took centre stage as digital solutions company Globacom commended their commitment and dedication.

The company gave the commendation as workers globally marked the 2026 International Workers Day (IWD).

In a statement issued in Lagos on Thursday, Globacom appreciated the role of labour in driving Nigeria’s wheel of development, affirming that workers remained a very important lever in the progress of any country.

It called on workers to remain focused and steadfast in giving their best to the nation, noting that their contributions in both public and private sectors are crucial to achieving the desired growth and progress.

“We urge staff in both the public and private sectors not to relent in pushing for the development of the country through their work,” the company stated.

International Labour Day (ILD) is celebrated every year on May 1 to commemorate the role and importance of workers across the world.
