There was a heavy security presence at the Plateau State High Court on Thursday as the Plateau State Government arraigned four suspects over the deadly Palm Sunday attack in Angwan Rukuba.
The suspects, who were arrested by the Department of State Services between April 3 and April 10, were brought to court under tight security, with operatives deployed within and around the premises to prevent any breakdown of law and order.
Proceedings commenced shortly after the defendants arrived at about 9:20 a.m., as court officials and security personnel maintained a strong presence throughout the session, reports Gwg.com.
The state government filed charges against the accused bordering on criminal conspiracy and terrorism-related offences, linking them to the attack that rocked the community.
Those arraigned include Isa Umar Ibrahim, Auwalu Abubakar, and Musa Abubakar Ibrahim, alongside one other defendant.
