The Igbo World Assembly (IWA) is set to hold a global summit on strategies to galvanize deeper investment in Igboland.
The summit with the theme, Akulueuno would be held through Global Zoom on Saturday, May, 22, 2020.
Professor Osita Ogbu, chairman of Alaigbo Stabilization Fund Implementation Committee would deliver the keynote speech.
Prof Ogbu is a professor of Economics and Director, Institute of Development Studies at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
He was Chief Economic Adviser and Minister of National Planning to Chief Olusegun Obasanjo between 2005 and 2006.
Prof Ogbu was a former Research Economist at the World Bank and Fellow at the Brookings Institution in Washington.
According to IWA, the summit is open to all individuals, groups and organisations.
The Igbo Stabilization Fund is aimed at mobilizing people, ideas, organisations and resources towards the development, prosperity and advancement of Igboland.
The ISF is also aimed at making Alaigbo the destination of choice in Nigeria for investors and to deliberately build a great economy for Alaigbo.
The fund equally seeks to build a haven of modernity, excellence, economic prosperity and social advancement of Ndigbo as well as make Alaigbo an example of subnational development and advancement.
