Fidelity Bank not probing, has no plan to probe former MD, Nnamdi Okonkwo, says Ndiulo

The Board of Directors of Fidelity Bank Plc has denied any plan to probe the bank’s former Managing Director of the Bank, Mr. Nnamdi Okonkwo.

In a statement issued yesterday by Ejike Ndiulo, head of the Brand and Communications Department of the bank, the Board described the story, which was carried online, as false and malicious, enjoining members of the public and millions of its customers all over the world to discountenance the online report.

According to the statement, Nnamdi Okonkwo served the bank meritoriously as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer between 2014 and 2020 and led his team to achieve impressive results.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the Board of Directors continues to hold Mr. Okonkwo in high esteem and wish him well in his future endeavors,” the statement surmised.”
