The leadership crisis rocking the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has deepened, as the faction led by David Mark announced the expulsion of several prominent members over alleged anti-party activities, a move that underscores the widening internal divisions within the party.
The decision, reached at the party’s national convention, signals a further escalation in the prolonged power struggle that has engulfed the ADC since 2025, with rival factions laying claim to the party’s leadership, reports The Nation.
Among those affected is the factional chairman, Nafiu Bala, alongside other key figures accused of actions deemed detrimental to the party’s unity and stability.
