Excerpt XV from Moral Goodness In Our Life-time, Chapter One, By Pastor Ajayi James B. C. 

All we need to wage and win the war for moral goodness are God-fearing men and women of high moral integrity among parents, teachers, and governors of this world.They are people whose ambitions, present or past positions in their countries or on the global stage will not overshadow or becloud their sense of judgement on right or wrong.These are people who clearly understand that any any trade where one person gains and the other loses is not a trade but a fraud.

 

They will not compromise with evil nor with its governor nor with a presenter of evil no matter the degree of temptation. They are men and women of steel courage who are ready to pay the price of war for the prospects of moral goodness and peace in the society and the world at large.

 

They are men and women whose love for the good is as strong as their hatred for the evil. The ray of hope for success in this moral re-awakening lies in the fact that, today, there are scores of hundreds of people in many families,in some government and countries of this world, and in many private firms and corporations as well as in various places of worship who are ready to enroll in this army of crusaders for moral goodness in the world.

 

What is needed is a torch-bearer to turn on the flame of moral goodness and the other true men and women of high moral integrity to support and encourage the torch-bearer. Associations have to be formed but they must not be for mere entertainment, publicity stunts nor for personal aggrandizement in any subtle way.Anyone with immoral intentions will receive shame instead of honour, and penury instead of the wealth he seeks to gain from his evil scheme, because by the nature and essence of moral goodness, the justice that will forgive one mile error of ignorance will not forgive an inch of conscious evil. Members of the crusade will be light in the tunnel for the masses to follow. I often use the word “masses” in this book because the ordinary people of this world are an overwhelming majority.

 

Where two elephants fight it is the ground that suffers.Evil doers are a mighty elephant today while the government of the world looks lilliputian.ln the event of escalation of evil the ordinary people do not possess sufficient means to defend themselves.

 

So, this category of people suffer more, even now.

Who and where are the good people of this world? Do not treat this project as fiction.The laws of Plato state,inter alia,”In dealing with a plan for the future….he who exhibits the model on which an undertaking should be fashioned should abate nothing of perfect excellence and absolute truth”
