Excerpt VII from Moral Goodness In Our Life-time, By Pastor Ajayi James B. C.
Chapter One continues
The only synonym for evil is it’s experience by oneself.Try being at the receiving end of any evil and you will become an instant authority on the evil of evil.Everywhere in the world today, the sight of the suffering masses has become an eyesore, the stench of avoidable death and the cries of the bereaved are too agonising for vivid description by any writer. While conducting my research on this book, occasionally, tears flowed down my face, obliterating from my mind the ‘ad rem’ words to choose as l got confronted with the myriad of evils perpetrated before my face in Nigeria alone – man’s inhumanity to man ! I witnessed similar scenarios in the United States of America over a period of ten years as a student and a resident. The courage not to shed tears at the sight of these evils, in itself, could constitute a bigger evil.As the tears flowed, they left on my face agonising marks of puzzle and on my mind the same question,”Why ?”.I have identified here twenty -one criminal activities that could bring sorrow to those at the receiving end, and the list is by no means exhaustive.ln alphabetical order, they are among others:
Legendary Quotes: “There Is No Greater Evil Than Good Perverted”
– Roy B Zuck, Speaker’s Quote Book
“Men Know What Is Good But Do What IS Bad”
– Socrates.
“A Wrong Is Always Wrong, Even If Everyone Is For It”
