Plato in “The Republic” equated the good with the ultimate object of knowledge, emphasizing that the qualities and characters that constitute the good should be based on human knowledge of the good .In essence the in-depth knowledge of moral goodness in men’s relation with one another will reveal to them which of their values may conflict and where and when their means begins to injure and destroy their ends rather than serve them.Human knowledge, however, is inadequate as the only means to know the good.

Therefore, to seek the re-education of our nation-state only along the lines of past human ability and experience alone is like putting the cart before the horse.Moral goodness is an act of God, anchored on the knowledge of God, past and present, and on the pattern of His attributes.Moral goodness is hard to notice in any society now because the society does not take notice of his creator beyond his hour of need, when even a sworn atheist is forced by the reality of the moment to break his vows and confess the existence and supremacy of God, his creator.
