Coup: Algeria pledges support for Niger against external aggression

It’s becoming more interesting as the coup event unfolds in Niger Republic.

 

Could it be that West Africans are now waking up from grips of neocolonialism?

 

You’d recall that 3 neighboring African countries have pledged support for Niger, dare ECOWAS.

 

According to the Algerian publication Intel Kirby, Algeria will defend Niger in the event of external military aggression. They reported on the probable invasion of Niger under ECOWAS leadership, noting that Algeria will not stand by while its neighbour is invaded.

 

Algeria which has strong ties with China and Russia has also indicated interest to join Burkina Faso and others to fight for Niger if President Bola Tinubu tries to attack with ECOWAS forces
