2.1. The Role Of Parents

It is easier to mould a little child than to mend an an adult.For every villain in the society, for every crooked man or woman on our streets, a parent has some liability, call it precarious liability if you like.From the rank of area “boys”,”street urchins,” “jobless touts”, “winos” and “pimps” to the level of drug barons, armed robbers and assassins , from the street girls to the home wreckers, the prostitutes and drug couriers, some parents and guardians had failed in, wholly or in part in their duties when these characters were young and growing up.Failure does not necessarily mean one has not made any efforts,but the efforts were grossly inadequate to keep the children from falling into the way of evil in the future.Omission or commission due to mismanaged wealth of parents and handlers, unmanageable poverty at home as well as ignorance of parents and handlers could be a cause of failure in child training.
