The former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, has said that the speed with which ethnic agitators like Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday lgboho were arrested by security forces while the rampaging Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen continue to have a field day has shown that the President Muhammadu Buhari government is in favour of his own ethnic group.

He made this remark while addressing a cross section of journalists on Sallah day at his Bodija, Ibadan residence on Tuesday.

He also stated that it was the action or inaction of the government which created this situation that threw up the likes Kanu and Igboho and that if they believe that after this duo have been apprehended that is the end of the story, “there are still other lgbohos and Kanus that would still emerge.”

Senator Ladoja opined that President Buhari is not sincere in tackling the security challenges as the actions of his administration portrays him as not being the father of all in the country.

According to him, the fact that the Yoruba agitator was picked up quickly was not the main concern but that everyone must be treated equally and fairly irrespective of where they come from.

“Everybody, including the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi lll, and Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State have complained about this, because it has been known that several times when Boko Haram people or Fulanis who engage in killings, kidnappings and rape are arrested and handed over to the police, they are released based on “order from above”, given amnesty, negotiated with and given ransom.

“We don’t know if the North wants to go its separate way. Nobody knows. Even a traditional ruler was kidnapped in Daura, the President’s backyard .

“There was a time President Buhari said he was for everybody and for nobody . They can’t tell us that Boko Haram and the Fulani herdsmen committing cries are invisible. They can’t be while they say people like lgboho and Kanu are visible, that’s why they could arrest them easily.

“l believe that if the government is sincere enough Boko Haram and the criminal Fulani herdsmen can defeated easily by our military in no time at all,” Senator Ladoja added.
