The Igbo socio-cultural organization, Akuluono Group, has inaugurated its four new committees to with effect from May 8, 2021, to begin work in earnest to ensure that their mandates were achieved. The reconstituted Committees according to a statement made available to us will commence the NEXT LEVEL of our movement – Implementation of the various Reports and recommendations already penciled down.
The Committees include: the Agriculture Committee ~ headed by Pastor Godwin Umeaka (GOC). GOC is the Managing Director/CEO of Coscharis Farms Limited. He is based in Anambra State; Banking & Finance Committee ~ headed by Dr. Charles Udogu. Doc recently retired from Polaris Bank Limited from the top position of a Director. He is now based in Enugu (Coal City). He is the Foundation Chairman of this Banking & Finance Committee.
Others include the Healthcare / Healthcare Insurance Committee ~ headed by Dr. Jude Mgbemena. Doc is a Medical Doctor, and he has a Hospital “St. Jude’s Hospital” in Ozubulu, Anambra State. He is the pioneer Deputy Chairman of this Healthcare/Healthcare Insurance Committee;the Ethics & Value Orientation Committee ~ headed by Mazi Iyke C. Okpolu, a former Trustee.It disclosed that Iyke is from Imo State but resident in United States : A foundation Administrator & later Trustee of this Akuluouno – Think Home Forum.The Education Committee ~ headed by Prof. Nat Ofo. Prof. doubles as a Trustee now. He is from Imo State but lectures at Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State, as Professor of Corporate Law & Governance.*
Also included are the Library & Information Committee ~ headed by Rev. Prof. Obiora Nwosu. He is back to a familiar terrain. A retired Librarian of UNIZIK (Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State) and an Old Boy of Oragram (Oraukwu Grammar School), Non Sibi Sed Aliis, this opportunity will enable our amiable Rev. Prof. Obiora to supervise the Implementation of the Report of the Library & Information Committee he headed.
Whereas the Information & Communications Technology (ICT) Committee is headed by Engr. Kingsley Igwe. Kingsley was the pioneer Chairman of this Committee, but got replaced when he had some health challenges. Now he is back to wow us with his experiences in this field. He is based in United States, an indigene of Abia State. Youth & Governance Committee ~ is headed by Kim Eseka Emmanuel. An Accountant based in Lagos, but an indigene of Delta State. A Foundation Administrator of this Forum and now a Trustee, Kim headed this Committee and submitted its Report in September 2020. He is now back to supervise the implementation of the Committee’s Report.”
Finally, the Social Media Committee, headed by Elder Okwudili Ijezie, the Chief Administrator/Chairman of the Board of Trustees. The enlarged Social Media Committee is a combination of the erstwhile Social Media Committee and the erstwhile Communications/Media Committee, plus the erstwhile Publicity Committee.
According to the Chairman, Chief Okwudili Ijezie, Akuluouno the heads of the committees are impeccable men of honour who can be trusted.For instance in describing the head of Ethics & Value Orientation Committee,he said he submitted a super Report of the Committee in September 2020. He acts what he preaches. That is reflected in his being the only erstwhile Trustee that is the one canvassing to the other four erstwhile Trustees on the need to obey the Constitution that made them ineligible to be Trustees because they are not resident in Nigeria
