Air Peace addresses in-flight theft incident on her flight, reiterates commitment to passenger safety, security
Air Peace has confirmed an incident of in-flight theft on Flight P47190, which occurred on February 19, 2025. The airline has reiterated its commitment to passenger safety and security, and has taken swift action in response to the incident.
During the flight, the airline’s Head, Corporate Communications, Dr Henry Ndiulo explained, a passenger was found with a missing item after a thorough search upon landing at Port Harcourt International Airport. The suspect was handed over to the airport police for further investigation and necessary action.
“Air Peace is concerned about the rising trend of in-flight thefts and is implementing enhanced surveillance measures onboard its flights. Cabin crew members have been advised to be more vigilant, and in-flight announcements will be increased to remind passengers to secure their belongings and report any suspicious activities,” Dr Ndiulo stressed.
“The airline is taking a firm stance against such criminal acts, recommending the blacklisting of the identified suspect and reinforcing its zero-tolerance policy for any misconduct that compromises passenger safety and comfort.
“Air Peace remains committed to delivering a safe, secure, and world-class travel experience for all passengers. The airline urges the public to cooperate with its security protocols and report any suspicious behavior to ensure a seamless and enjoyable journey for everyone,” the corporate spokesman noted.
