AFCON: How Nigeria sent Cameroun home, cruise to quarter finals

It took a brace from Ademola Lookman for Nigeria’s Super Eagles to end the dream of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroun to advance beyond the round of 16, which they got on a platter, as they were finally sent out of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON), on Saturday night.
One goal apiece in each of the halves saw Nigeria, third time winner – 1980, 1994 and 2013 – of the tournament, African highest football event advancing into the the quarter finals of the 34th edition, currently taking place in the African nation of Cote D’Ivoire.

This game is the eighth encounter between Nigeria and Cameroon at the Africa Cup of Nations.
