ADF unveils Akuruo-Ulo Cooperative Movement in Aba

The Alaigbo Development Foundation (ADF), will today Thursday, June 17, unveil its Akuruo-Ulo Agro-Allied Cooperative Movement at Aba, the commercial nerve centre of Abia State.

Chief Abia Onyike, ADF Spokesman, said in a statement said that the Agro-Allied Akuru-Ulo Cooperative Movement is a new policy of intensive/extensive farming aimed at the attainment of economic prosperity, food security, youth employment, land security and the overall economic  well-being of Ndigbo in the new millennium.

According to the statement, the event is geared towards creating public awareness on the agro-allied ventures being established by ADF in the five states of the South-East for sustainable development in Igboland.

The programme will feature a documentary on the Akuruo-Ulo philosophy which emphasizes the need for Igbo business men to invest at home as well as the presentation of shares for investment by ADF members and other patriotic/interested members of the public.

The ceremony billed to hold at Christ the King’s College(CKC), Aba, will attract several dignitaries, including the ADF President, Prof. Uzodinma Nwala; Chairman, ADF Board of Trustees, Bishop Obi Onubogu; Aba based legal practitioner, Barrister Ukpai Ukairo; and the Deputy Chairman, Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, HRH Eze  Dr. Nnamdi Harry Ugwuala, amongst others.
