The presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, has explained that he joined the opposition coalition to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.
In a post on his official X handle on Thursday, he said that no one group can change Nigeria alone, adding that to dismantle the APC, bridges must be built even when they are uneasy, reports Channels TV.

Leaders and members of the opposition coalition had converged on the Yar’Dua Centre in Abuja for a meeting on Wednesday, where they announced the ADC as the platform for the 2027 election.
Aside from Obi, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Kaduna governor Nasir El-Rufai; and former Rivers governor Rotimi Amaechi, and many others were present at the meeting.
Others include Dino Melaye, Solomon Dalong, Dele Momodu, Gabriel Suswam, Ireti Kingibe, Emeka Ihedioha, Sadique Abubakar.
