2023: It’s not too late for you to step down, Keyamo tells Atiku

The Minister of Labour and Employment and Director of Public Affairs and Chief Spokesperson of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo (SAN) on Tuesday urged Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to step down from the race.
Atiku on Tuesday during his visit to Enugu had said the Igbos can only become President after he must have completed his tenure.
Speaking while addressing Southeast PDP stakeholders, Atiku said his great relationship with the Igbos would continue until they assume the presidency after his tenure.
However, in a tweet on his official Twitter handle, Keyamo said Atiku should honour the power-shift arrangement in the constitution of the PDP and allow power to move to the South.
“Your Excellency, the 14 Northern APC Govs. did not tell these tales by moonlight. They enforced power-shift to the South within our party instantly this year.
“It’s not too late for you to honour the power-shift arrangement in your own Constitution by stepping down now,” Ketamo wrote.
