PDP chieftain mourns ex-President Buhari, Oba Adetona, urges party members to honour their memories

The Oyo State Gubernatorial Aspirant of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Aare Olayinka Segelu has urged party members to honour the memories of Ex- President Muhammadu Buhari and Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, the Awujale of Ijebu land by striving for excellence and service.

 

Segelu made the plea on Monday while speaking to journalists on the demise of the two esteemed figures who passed on Sunday July 13th.

 

According to him, the dignitaries have inspired countless individuals, demonstrating that enduring strength can shape the path of success.

 

“Their legacies remind us that our scars are indeed battle wounds, each telling a story of resilience, leadership, and dedication to our great country.

 

“Let their stories encourage us not to give up on ourselves or our aspirations, but rather to honor their memories by striving for excellence and service.

 

“In times of grief, it’s essential to remember that the journey we undertake is defined by our ability to rise above challenges,” he said.

 

The gubernatorial aspirant urged members to transform the mourning mood to motivation and ensured the lessons from the deceased lives propel them forward.

 

He pledged to emulate the Late Buharis leadership style and committed to serve my people with integrity and passion.

 

“As I pursue my political ambitions as gubernatorial aspirant for Oyo State. I urge you all to join me on this journey, to share in my dreams and support my aspirations.

 

“Together, as a united force, we can honor their legacies by building a better future for our communities,” he said.
