In a separate incident on the same day, at about 3:45 p.m., suspected armed robbers ambushed and killed a motorcyclist, Samuel Iordye, from Nkst Anyiin East, at Tukwa Village along the Anyiin-Akwannaon road in Taraba State. The assailants shot the victim dead and fled with his motorcycle.

A joint operation involving military personnel, police, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and the Benue Civil Protection Guard has been deployed to apprehend the suspects. The victim’s body was photographed and deposited at the NKST Hospital Mortuary in Anyiin for a post-mortem examination.
