The Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Abubakar, has resigned his appointment.
A source in the State House quoted by The Nation said Abubakar tendered his resignation to President Bola Tinubu.
“DG, National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Rufai Abubakar tenders resignation to President Tinubu,” the source said.
Abubakar was appointed in 2018 by former President Muhammadu Buhari. He was reappointed in December 2021.
