Favour Igiebor, woman who tore husband’s passport breaks silence, gives reason
Favour Igiebor the woman who tore her husband’s international passport at the Muritala International Airport, Lagos on Saturday has broken her silence.
She said she did not take the action before now when they were in Europe because “I didn’t want him to go through much stress, so I had to take that action in Nigeria.”
According to Igiebor, her husband’s family have been on her neck and she has gotten to a point she can’t take it anymore because according to her, “my husband cannot talk. His family members will not allow me breathe but my husband would say nothing.”
‘Many people attacking me, and even my fellow gender who don’t understand what is going on are all accusing me. What can i say? To the Nigeria Immigration Service, I am sorry. I did what I did for my husband not to go back to Europe, because I have gone through pains. These are pains that make me have headache sometimes in the middle of my head. People are just judging me about what they know nothing about.”
She has categorically accused her husband of causing her so much pains based on the fact that he couldn’t control his family members and that she is fed up with the whole situation and cannot take it anymore. It is left to be seen if the authorities would be satisfied with her explanation and give her a soft landing.
