AFCON: Orji Kalu salutes Super Eagles on victory over South Africa, final qualfcation

Former Abia Governor and Pillar of Sports in Africa, Sen. Orji Kalu has saluted the Super Eagles over their qualification for the AFCON 2023 final in Cote d’Ivoire.

 

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Nigeria on Wednesday, beat South Africa 4-2 on penalties after full and extra time scores stood at 1-1.

 

Kalu, the Senate Committee Chairman on Privitisation in a statement on Wednesday,described the victory as a positive development.

 

“The team made Nigeriaians proud as the players should remain committed and determined in their quest to win the cup.

 

“The team performed excellently well in its outing against South Africa and I am optimistic that it will sustain the feat to clinch the trophy.

 

“Nigerians should support the team as it works tirelessly to emerge victorious at the end of the competition,” he said.
