You’re desperate, Aisha Yesufu blasts Atiku over call for alliance with Peter Obi 

Nigerian human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu, has reacted to the statement made by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, claiming that he is in talks with the Labour Party flag bearer, Peter Obi and the New Nigerian People Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso.

 

Recall that Atiku stated this during a 15-minute interview with BBC Hausa service on Tuesday, hinting that the discussion between Obi and Kwankwaso might lead to a positive result in which one of the might return to his party.

 

He said, “Although, I see no threat in any of them but we are in talks, and the discussion might yield a positive result that will see one of them coming.”

 

However, Yesufu in a video posted via her official Twitter account on Thursday, described Atiku’s statement as a desperate move, debunking the alliance claims and stating that Obi is not in talks with Atiku.

 

She said, “The desperation is real, absolutely real. Trying to make it look as if there is talks, which talks? No! There was never, and never will be any talk.

 

“Peter Obi is leading, he is the leading presidential candidate, Even the polls that they are doing is showing,” she added.
