2023: ‘Your help is here, Nigeria hasn’t yet failed, still the greatest’ Tinubu tells Nigerians
“Nigeria hasn’t failed, Nigeria is the best, I’m the help Nigeria needs,” were the words with which Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), tried to rouse Nigerians towards what he says are better future for them, with him at the saddle of government next year.
They were words of encouragement as the former Governor of Lagos State and the National Leader of APC, came into the warm embrace of a mammoth crowd that received him after his departure from the country on September 24, from where he jetted back on Thursday.
Looking refreshed after the 14-day trip to the UK, where he usually travelled for medical solutions, Tinubu, whose latest trip had let mouth loose, especially given the timing, which made him absent at some significant events, particularly last week’s signing of the peace accord by presidential candidates of political parties, where he was prominently missing, he explained that he was now fully charged for the campaigns ahead.
Hear him: “The trip was very good, I enjoyed my break. I’m happy to be back to my fatherland. Nigerians should expect an intelligent – ability to think and perform. Nigerians should expect that the help they need is here. The hope that is almost jittering is back.
“I’m back actively back to the country of patriotism, dedication, capacity – not the fact that Nigerian has failed. This country, this continent is the greatest of all. If it is an assurance that we need, we will definitely make a better country out of it all.”
