Two female teachers narrowly escape kidnappers attack in Kwara, sustain bullet wounds

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Thursday afternoon fired gun shots at two teachers at Alaaye’s palace in Ikerin Opin in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara state, with the aim of kidnapping them but the teachers escaped.

Our Correspondent gathered that the incident happened after school hours when the teachers were returning home.

The two women who teach at Ikerin Secondary School and Ikerin Opin Community Secondary School in Ekiti Local Government Area of the state were suddenly accosted by the gunmen but they took to their heels and the kidnappers fired gun shots at them.

But the teacher escaped with only bullet wounds.

According to an eye withness, Alhaji Abduraheem Amuda Yusfu, it was a failed kidnap attempt by about five bandits fully armed who invaded the community at about 5:30pm on Thursday October 28, 2021.

Meanwhile, there was an event, organized in front of Alaaye’s to induct a member of the community into the elders committee which was concluded at about 3:30 pm. The teachers were relaxing at the event venue when the gun men struck while some escaped one of them was not that lucky.
