Lagos set for high-impact conversations as IAC 4.0 targets shift from inspiration to action

All is set for the fourth edition of the Imperfectly Awesome Conversations Summit (IAC 4.0), which will hold on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the MUSON Centre, with organisers promising a bold transition from motivational discourse to practical, results-driven engagement.

Convener Omotola Bamigbaiye said this year’s summit is deliberately designed as a structured intervention to help individuals and organisations better navigate identity, adversity, and growth in an increasingly complex world.

Unlike previous editions that leaned heavily on inspiration, IAC 4.0 is positioned as a catalytic platform aimed at challenging entrenched narratives, provoking critical thinking, and driving a new paradigm across leadership, personal development, and communication.

The Imperfectly Awesome movement, which began as a personal expression through Bamigbaiye’s book, has evolved into an annual gathering that prioritises authenticity and lived experiences over curated success stories. At its core is the message of “being enough,” a philosophy organisers say is key to unlocking innovation, inclusive leadership, and societal progress.

 

This year’s summit will feature two major panel sessions focused on Resilience & Tenacity and Authenticity: Embracing Your Whole Self, with discussions expected to explore how individuals and institutions can sustain purpose amid disruption, while leveraging identity and self-awareness for effective leadership.

 

A major highlight of the event will be the maiden edition of the IAC Awards, which will recognise individuals and organisations demonstrating courage, consistency, and measurable social impact.

 

The speaker lineup includes prominent figures from the public and private sectors such as Segun Ogunsanya, Godrey Ogbechie, Mojisola Meranda, Moremi Ojudu, O’tega Ogra, Folayinka Dania, and Sarah Sosan, among others.

 

Organisers say the speakers are expected to go beyond success narratives to share real-life experiences, including setbacks, recalibration, and eventual breakthroughs, in line with the summit’s philosophy that imperfection can be a powerful catalyst for growth.

 

With a sharpened thematic focus on courage over comfort, consistency over perfection, and action over fear, IAC 4.0 will challenge participants to move beyond passive learning and adopt actionable strategies capable of transforming both personal and professional trajectories.
