A former presidential aide, Daniel Bwala, has disclosed that he underwent throat surgery shortly after granting an interview on Al Jazeera.
Bwala made the revelation while reflecting on the physical toll of his recent media engagements, noting that the procedure became necessary following complications with his voice.
“After my interview on Al Jazeera, I had to undergo throat surgery. It wasn’t something I planned, but it became necessary due to the strain,” he said.
He explained that the condition had been developing over time but worsened after a series of public appearances and high-profile interviews.
“I had been managing the issue for a while, but the intensity of back-to-back engagements aggravated it. The doctors advised immediate intervention,” Bwala added.
Despite the health challenge, he assured that he is recovering well and remains committed to public discourse.
“I am getting better now and will continue to contribute to national conversations as my health improves,” he said.
