The National Coordinator of ADC North-west Alliance for Good Governance, and party chieftain, Hon. Abdullahi Umar, has reacted to the latest outburst and misinformation spread by the ADC 2023 presidential candidate, Mr. Dumebi Kachikwu.
Recall, Mr. Kachikwu, had over the week, yet again resorted to personality attack, when he alleged without evidence that the ADC has been infiltrated and grabbed by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and other national stakeholders, reports News Express.
Responding to the claim over the weekend, Hon. Abdullahi Umar, who contested the 2023 House of Representatives elections in Tarauni federal constituency, Kano State, lashed out at Mr. Kachikwu for his incessant, unruly and needless attack on party leadership.
He said: “Mr. Kachikwu is an unrepentant imposter and an attention-seeker. This is someone who has been holding series of press conferences and making unsubstantiated claims, which are easily verifiable. The former NWC of our great party, under Mr. Ralph Nwosu, has been successfully dissolved and INEC is fully aware. The new leadership, under former Senate President, Distinguished Senator David Mark, and National Secretary, HE Rauf Aregbesola, is legally recognized by our constitution. He, Mr. Kachikwu, is obviously chasing a mirage, ostensibly to justify his pay cheque from his sponsors – the APC.”
He continued: “Kachikwu falsely accused the leadership of the party of forgery. In the absence of any credible standpoint to challenge our national leadership in court, he is in the wilderness desperately scouting for straw to hold on to. We are aware, the individuals mostly state chairmen who had gone rogue on ADC, after collecting millions from the APC, which Kachikwu is among, are having a desperate moment convincing their paymasters of what they can offer, hence this spurious allegations of their signatures being forged. Nigerians are watching. No one can stop an idea or movement whose time has come.”
