Wanted Mompha fights back, says EFCC so corrupt, jobless, his trial mere ‘charade’

Ismaila Mustapha, better known as Mompha, who was declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has on a tweet reacted to the situation.

According to the anti-graft agency, Mompha had failed to appear in court for his money laundering trial.

In reaction, Mompha accused the EFCC of being corrupt. Calling the agency a “charade” adding that he had come to the conclusion that he wouldn’t be able to get justice with such a corrupt-laden system.

He questioned the EFCC as to why they hadn’t declared his alleged co-conspirator Nappy, wanted. Stating that it was because the agency had allegedly “extorted money, cars, and landed properties from Nappy” but they declared him (Mompha) wanted “to generate cheap publicity.”

He insisted that he didn’t commit any crime but only paid money to in the normal course of his Bureau De Change business.

His tweet read partly “I don’t know why EFCC are so jobless that they want to tarnish my image………”last last na International Court go settle this matter @officialefcc.”
