Northern caucus of Nigeria’s Federal House of Representatives delegates, who visited the ailing National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu received the sum of £20,000 each for leaving their duty posts to check up on the recuperating party leader in London, United Kingdom.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila and staff members of Tinubu Media Organization organized the fully-funded visit by these delegates.

Tinubu used the parley with the delegates to inform the visitors about his 2023 presidential quest: when queried about his state of health, Tinubu said he is fine but undergoing gruesome and intense physiotherapy in one of his legs.

Tinubu profiled his august visitors as the politicians closest to the grassroot in the North, as well as the doors to the Northern elites.

In his submission, he instructed them to carry his positions as an advocate of one indivisible Nigeria, maintenance of constitutional status quo, a liberal economic advocate, which he said is 360 degrees away from President Muhammadu Buhari’s conservative economic position.

Above all, Tinubu offered that he had the human structure, media presence and financial wherewithal for the 2023 Presidential campaign, “I left power in 2007 yet, I hold all the levers of public power in Lagos State, I achieved this by spreading prosperity in Lagos State.” He promised to spread prosperity as an open door player as President.

The former Lagos State Governor prayed the delegation to take back to their respective constituencies, his positions. He appointed them as his eyes, ears and mouth in Nigeria’s Northern Region.

The spokesman of the group in response, said Tinubu should consider himself as the presidential candidate of the present Northern caucus in the House of Representatives.

He explained that the caucus was peopled by all political parties. He was reminded that they worked across party lines to elect his protege as the Speaker and this they were set to replicate come 2023 as regards his Presidential quest.

The 20-man entourage after the group photographs waited for Tinubu’s chauffeur, with one of them bidding him bye emphatically saying “See you soon Mr President,” to which he replied: “Thank You”

Isa Ali Modu Funtua of the Northern Solidarity Front said Tinubu’s veiled ambition is known to all.

Funtua said: “I wonder what an 80 year old billionaire, who made fortune via legal and illegal tax collection in Lagos State is desirous of coluding with President Muhammadu Buhari’s men.

“I hope he understands 2023 is 20 months away and President Muhammadu Buhari’s handlers are very angry and wrath with him for his indiscretions, his cries to them will no longer be tolerated going forward, how can he start parading or allow himself to be given courtesy as Mr President publicly.
