Tinubu, APC orchestrating, bankrolling LP crisis for personal gain, state capture – Peter Obi alleges

Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) has accused Bola Tinubu along with his acolytes in the President’s administration and All Progressives Congress (APC) of orchestrating and bankrolling the crisis in the LP for personal political gain and to ensure state capture in which opposition parties are vanquished.

 

Critics had accused Lamidi Apapa of being Tinubu’s mole in the LP, long before the Julius Abure renegades reared their heads, with Abure still insisting on the LP chairmanship after the Supreme Court sacked him.

 

Obi, who was LP presidential candidate in the 2023 vote, accused Tinubu and his hatchet men of masterminding the conflict when he featured on Arise Television Morning Show programme on Monday.

 

Said he: “This is what you get, always, right? This is what you get always in Nigeria, because we now live in a country of propaganda and lies – and they manufacture it.

 

“The problem we have in the Labor Party is problem instigated and sustained by the government of today.

 

“I don’t need to tell you when you have a party Chairman who calls a state Governor a dwarf and accuses him of dwarf thinking. Forget about me, so it’s not me being weak.

 

“Okay, I’m weak, but it’s not weakness. Is every other person there weak? So we’re not sincere with ourselves.

 

“You speak the truth and they call you names. And we now live in a country of propaganda and lies. They are trying to put problems everywhere, they want to even put problems in families.”
