Expectations are sky-high in Africa’s most populous nation as millions of citizens elect the country’s next president and National Assembly members.
Many have described the historic presidential poll as a three-horse race, with the consensus being that it is Nigeria’s most competitive election to date.
In all, 94 million citizens registered for the election; No fewer than 87.2 million of them have collected their permanent voter cards (PVCs) and were eligible to vote.

09:45 pm: The Imo State returning officer announces a break to return by 10:15 pm to give room for more presidential results to come in from LGAs.
09:15 pm: For the presidential elections in Imo State, Orsu LGA records only 49 accredited voters out of 36,712 registered voters.
The electoral officer explains Orsu has been a flashpoint, having had the highest number of killings and attacks in the state.
Most ad hoc staff and INEC officials are said to have refused going there to conduct elections except besides those courageous enough to go.
According to the electoral officer, the accredited voters were driven from Owerri to Orsu for the election as no one residing in the community came out to vote.
When they got wind that the gunmen were grouping to attack the venue of election, they quickly ended elections and returned to Owerri for collation.

08:31 pm: More presidential election results coming in from Kano State: Out of 3 LGAs, NNPP wins in 2, while APC wins 1.
08:26 pm: Labour Party cries foul, citing manipulation and manufacturing of results by INEC officials in states across the country particularly Lagos, Edo, Rivers and Imo.
At a press briefing at the party’s headquarters in Abuja, National Chairman Julius Abure decries the violence allegedly meted out on Labour Party supporters.
The party calls on INEC to cancel presidential results, describing them as manufactured in parts of the country, particularly Rivers State.
Abure urged President Muhammadu Buhari to “keep his word” on ensuring the 2023 elections are free, fair and credible, stating that the party will only accept true results obtained at the polling units.
08:25 pm: Presidential election results for 4 of the 18 LGAs in Edo State have been announced. Labour Party wins in 3 LGAs, while APC takes 1.
08:05 pm: Collation of presidential election results are concluded in 17 out of the 34 LGAs of Katsina State. Of the first 10 LGAs whose results have been announced, PDP has won in 6 LGAs, while APC takes 4.
07:50 pm: The Lagos State Collation Centre goes on recess, to reconvene at 8:30 pm.
07:15 pm: INEC confirms Ekiti presidential result, postpones collation to Monday.

06: 25 pm: Collation of presidential and National Assembly election results begins in Lagos. The State Collation Officer is Prof. Adenike Oladiji. She’s the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA)
06: 05 pm: Results are coming in from Bauchi where Atiku has won the five LGAs declared so far. In Kano, Kwankwaso of the NNPP is taking the lead.
05: 10 pm: Collation of Presidential/National Assembly Elections has commenced at the Independent National Electoral Commission headquarters in Damaturu the Yobe State capital.
04: 39 pm: Collation of presidential election results has commenced in Edo State. Six out of the 18 LGAs are available at the moment.
4:55 pm: Tinubu Wins Six Out Of Seven LGAs So Far In Katsina
Tinubu won Matazu, Kaita, Musawa, Ingawa and Charachi and Dutsi LGAs while PDP won Batsari LGA.
