The Lekki Estates Residents and Stakeholders Association has inaugurated a new executive Council, led by Alhaji Sulyman Kolawole Bello, to run its affairs for the next three years.
The inauguration ceremony, which took place at the prestigious Monarch Event Centre, along the Lekki Epe Expressway, was witnessed by top government functionaries, traditional rulers and captains of industry from within and outside Lagos State.
The new executives who were elected on March 4, 2023 and was just recently inaugurated, included Alhaji Bello from Peninsula Gardens Estate, who was elected as President: Mr. Gihan Mbelu from Victoria Garden City (VGC) Estate Vice President, and Mrs. Oyetunji Aderonke, from Stillwater Gardens as General Secretary.
Others are: Mr. Offiah Theophil Emeka, from Tedo Estate, elected Assistant Gen Secretary; Mrs. Rekia Abimbola Eletu, Peace Estate, Financial Secretary and Mrs. Ronke Banjo from Carlton Gate Estate Treasurer, Jenkins Alumona from Royal Gardens Estate was also elected as Public Relations Officer while Folabi Femi Kuti SAN, who resides in Peninsula Gardens Estate, was elected as Legal Adviser.
While handing over to the new executives, the outgoing President of LERSA, Olorogun James Emadoye commended the outgoing executives for jobs well done and he reeled out some of the achievements of LERSA during his tenure. Awards were given to deserving officials of the Association.
In his inaugural speech, Bello pledged to push forward from where his predecessor stopped while commending the close working relationship between the Association and the Lagos State Government. He stated that lives are lost daily and life expectancy is low in the country because workers do not do their jobs well, He consequently promised that his executives would not disappoint.
