Kwara PDP ward congress holds Saturday

All arrangements have been concluded by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), In Kwara State to hold it’s   ward congress across the 193 wards in the state on Saturday.

The state’s Publicity Secretary of the party, Tunde Ashaolu, who made this announcement in a statement on Friday, urged party members to go out en masse to participate in the exercise to elect party officers at the ward levels.

According to him, it is expected that as it is the usual practice in the PDP, party members will conduct themselves in a peaceful and orderly manner and eschew any form of violence.

While expressing optimism that the congress would be hitch-free, Ashaolu assured that the party’s internal mechanism would be deployed to resolve whatever issue that arises from the exercise.

The Kwara PDP Publicity Secretary also encouraged existing and intending members of the party to use the opportunity of the congress to complete their online membership registration that is currently ongoing across the 193 wards.
