I’ve never seen someone who finished third in an election receive this much heat – Noble Igwe

An entrepreneur and social media influencer from Nigeria named Noble Igwe recently voiced his amazement at the degree of attention and scrutiny being given to a political party that was determined to be “without structure” despite placing third in a recent election.
Igwe remarked that, to his knowledge, he had never witnessed a third-place candidate or party face such ferocious scrutiny and criticism. He continued by saying that there must be truth to a child’s assertions if they are sobbing and pointing at something.
He stated: “This is the only time in my life that I’ve seen someone that has been stated to have come third in an election getting this much heat.
“A party that has been declared as ‘without structure’ getting this much attention.
“If a child is crying and pointing, there’s something there.”
Igwe’s assertion that the attention being given to the third-place party is disproportionate has since sparked a debate among political commentators and observers in Nigeria. Some contend that the scrutiny is necessary to ensure transparency and accountability in the political process, while others contend that it is not.
Despite of the divergent viewpoints, Igwe’s speech has drawn attention to the necessity of a strong political system in Nigeria and the significance of making sure that all political parties are treated equally.
