If you can’t protect us, Igboho, others can – ex-CBN Deputy Gov Mailafia warns Buhari

The former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr. Obadiah Mailafia, has blamed the recent attack which happened in Igangan on the Failure of state security to its people.
The Former CBN Deputy Governor, once contested for Presidency under the umbrella of African democratic Congress (ADC), he made this disclosure while addressing journalist in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo state.
According to our correspondent, twenty people were killed during an attack on the people of Igangan in Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo state by suspected Fulani Herders who according to report invaded the town between Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
The ex-presidential candidate while speaking with journalist said the incident resulted from the failure of the state to secure their people.
He insist that the attack was successful due to the failure of the federal and state government.
The people of Oyo state do not deserve the current security challenges they are currently experiencing, Mailafia added.
He further, called on Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari to visit the affected communities (Igangan) and commiserate with the victims of the incident.
“This carnage in Igangan is a failure of state security. You need to come to see the people of Oyo State and commiserate with them on the failure of our Federal and State to protect its citizens.
