While the reason for his murder had not been ascertained, fear had gripped the residents of the area.
A family member to the deceased who does not want to be mentioned revealed that his attackers after killing him in the farm brought his severed body to their house.
Another family source said “killing of the retired policeman popularly known as Hipis had thrown out family into sadness.”
Also the traditional ruler of the community, Eze Blaise Ubah, revealed that the murder case has been reported to the police.
When contacted, the police spokesperson for the state command, Mike Abattam, told newsmen that investigation into the matter had commenced.
